This is absolutely one of my favorite room redesigns! This room went from “catch-all” to all-seasons botanical retreat with just a few changes and added furnishings and accessories. The room brightness went from drab to fab once we infused the rich brown tone to compliment the fireplace stone and beautiful ceiling! I am a big fan of gray but it just wasn’t right for this room so we played up the wood tone and in turn, toned down the gray.
Here’s how we pulled it together
We cleared out the room only leaving the bike. Two wicker chairs, floor lamp with over-sized shade and end table where all purchased “like-new” or wholesale. Plants, pillows and rug were all new retail purchases. The heavy burlap-type curtains where previously being used in another room. These heavy-fabric woven curtains brought this botanical design together.
These homeowners were pleased with the transformation and the budget friendly solutions used to achieve this look. This family gained an additional living space that can be enjoyed year around.
